Feeling Overwhelmed? How to Hear God's "Still Small Voice" When You've Hit Rock Bottom
The prophet Elijah had just won an epic battle against the priests of Baal—a moment of miraculous, undeniable triumph—yet within 24 hours, he was running for his life, hiding in the wilderness, and praying to die (1 Kings 19). Have you ever felt that extreme low, even after doing everything right?
Most of us look for God in the "wind, earthquake, and fire"—the big, dramatic, life-changing answers. But the story of Elijah teaches us a profound lesson on recognizing the true pattern of divine comfort and guidance: the still small voice.
This episode explores the concept of an “Elijah Moment”—when you feel completely discouraged, like a failure, and look to God for an immediate, miraculous fix, but He answers you in quiet strength and subtle reassurance.
In This Video, You Will Discover:
-The critical role of opposition and discouragement, even for the greatest prophets.
-The powerful contrast between looking for God in the "mighty wind" vs. the "still small voice" (1 Kings 19:11-12).
-How God sustains us through quiet inspiration and the "angels" He sends on earth (1 Kings 19:5-8).
-The personal, rock-bottom moment when host Tyler Griffin learned to recognize the still small voice on his Brazil mission.
-Practical ways to "be still" and open your soul to His voice when the journey feels too great.
If you are discouraged, feel like you've failed the Lord, or wonder why you aren't receiving big, dramatic answers to prayer, this video will shift your focus and help you recognize the subtle, powerful ways the Holy Ghost is speaking to your heart right now.
