Faith Insights with Tyler Griffin | Episode 52 | 45 min
Where do you turn when you hit a major decision point in life? Discover how to shift from the wisdom of the world to "Authentic Intelligence" in this powerful study of 1 Kings 12–22. https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/study/scriptures/ot/1-ki/12
Most people look for direction on their phones, social media, or AI, but God communicates patterns of light on a completely different frequency. This video contrasts the prideful, disastrous choices of kings with the profound footsteps of faith walked by Elijah and a faithful widow:
The Trap of Self-Wisdom: How Rehoboam and Jeroboam "devised things of their own hearts," leading to a devastating historical split of the 12 tribes of Israel.
The Two Lines of Communication: A look into Elder Dale G. Renlund's and President Dallin H. Oaks' frameworks on keeping personal revelation and priesthood authority in perfect balance.
Miracles at the Brink: Why God waited until the Widow of Zarephath was down to her last "two sticks" and a drop of oil before sending relief—proving timing can be everything in our growth.
Revelation on the Move: Why Brigham Young received D&C 136 in the mud of Winter Quarters, not in the comfort of Nauvoo. God reveals answers when we are actively moving forward.
We explore how Elijah went from a massive, fiery showdown with 450 priests of Baal to sitting under a juniper tree, spent and wanting to give up—only to find that God wasn't in the wind, the earthquake, or the fire, but in the still, small voice.
If you are currently surviving a "muddy trek across Iowa" in your own life and wondering why the heavens feel sealed, this episode will change the way you wait on the Lord's timing and recognize the quiet promptings directing you right now.
